WCIU Welcomes a Deputy Chief of Advancement
WCIU is happy to announce the arrival of our new Deputy Chief of Advancement, Jennifer Ilchishin, MAR. Jennifer brings 18 years of development experience, with roles at Ratio Christi, Moody Bible Institute (MBI), and the American Society of Civil Engineers Foundation. She has worked as a development consultant advising local Christian nonprofits. Her volunteer service includes serving as an Advisory Development Board Member at 4Word, Co-Chair of MBI's Envision, and Foundation Chair for the New York City chapter of the National Association of Professional Women.
When asked what she is most looking forward to in this new role, Jennifer said:
‘WCIU's mission is to "provide innovative distance education to enhance the effectiveness of scholar-practitioners as they serve with others to develop transformational solutions to the roots of human problems around the world.’
Put simply: help people who study and serve do their work better, so they can join others in fixing problems at the root.
That mission is why I'm here. Jesus said the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37). That's still true today. WCIU helps close that gap by training workers right where they live and serve. WCIU's students and alumni are out in the world doing this work: teaching, translating, building, leading, and serving communities that need it.
I'm glad to be part of this community, and I'm ready to do my part in spreading the Gospel." - Jennifer Ilchishin, MAR.
Jennifer is an alumna of Moody Bible Institute and Reformed Theological Seminary and is currently a PhD student at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature.
We believe that Jennifer’s expertise and voice will add immense value to WCIU in her new role. “Welcome, Jennifer!”
