WCIU Alumni Journeys: Session 4
Alumni Conversations with WCIU’s President
On November 14, our monthly Alumni Journeys webinar welcomed Paul Cornelius, President of WCIU, for a genuine conversation with alumni across the globe. During this session, we reflected on how God is moving in different countries, considered the challenges and encouragements of cross-cultural ministry, and talked together about ways to stay connected as alumni of WCIU.
President Cornelius opened by sharing a few of his key hopes for the alumni network: increasing interaction across regions, hearing your stories of faith in action, and building pathways for alumni to serve one another and the broader global mission field.
One of the highlights was a time where alumni shared brief updates—what’s happening in your context, what difficulties you face, and where you’re seeing breakthroughs. We believe these conversations strengthen the sense of being part of one worldwide community of workers, thinkers, and followers of Christ.
How you can stay connected
If you’d like to share your story, hear from other alumni, or explore ways to engage with the network, email our Director of Alumni Engagement, Andrea McAleenan at Andrea.McAleenan@wciu.edu. We’d love to hear from you.
Why this series matters
The Alumni Journeys webinar series meets on the second Friday of each month at 9:00 a.m. (Pacific Time). Each session highlights a different theme—such as caring for creation, health and wellbeing, church planting and missions, empowering vulnerable women, holistic mission, public policy influencers, entrepreneurial innovation, and community development change-makers. It’s a space for alumni to connect with each other and to the wider vision of WCIU.
Watch the session replay
We encourage every alum to take part—even if you can’t attend live. Engaging with this series helps keep the alumni network alive, strengthens relationships across regions, and helps you draw encouragement from what God is doing in and through fellow grads of WCIU.
Stay tuned for details about Session 5 and the next theme. We look forward to seeing you on the call.
