Dr. Kevin Higgins To End His Tenure as President of WCIU

The Board of WCIU announces the resignation of Dr. Kevin Higgins as President of WCIU effective August 31, 2021. During his tenure, Kevin has exemplified excellent leadership and has made important accomplishments to the quality and direction of the University. His efforts have put us on a solid footing to build and grow into the future. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Higgins for his tireless service! As he moves forward in his role as General Director of Frontier Ventures, we wish him well and pray for God’s blessings on the path ahead. We look forward to continued relationship and collaboration through our partnership with Frontier Ventures as our sister organization.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Peter McLallen as WCIU Acting President effective September 1, 2021. We are fortunate to have Peter serve in this capacity and are confident his appointment will ensure a smooth transition. We look forward to working closely with Dr. McLallen as the Lord moves us forward to pursue and fulfill His purposes as a university.
Finally, the Board appointed a Search Committee on July 22, 2021, to oversee the process for recruiting and selecting the next WCIU President. The Search Committee will be chaired by Dr. Greg Parsons, along with Dr. Richard Gunasekera as Vice-Chair. We are grateful for the leadership of the Search Committee and humbly request the entire WCIU community to cover their work in prayer as they move forward. The Search Committee is entering an initial stage of planning and will share additional information on the formal search process and timeline as details become available.
We are excited in what the Lord is doing in this season of change and have great expectation for our continued work together as a university for His glory among the nations!
