Diana Kimani

Diana Kimani is the Director of MA Development Studies Program at William Carey International University. She has over 20 years of working experience with 15 years spent in teaching and research at different universities and colleges in Africa and the United States. Diana holds a Ph.D. in Economics, a Master of Arts in Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Mathematics). Her research interests are in development and poverty issues, women empowerment, and health economics. Her personal teaching goal is to help students discover themselves and become polished professionals to go change the world. She has 18 publications and has been a Principal Investigator in several research projects. The most recent publications include Saving Groups and Women Empowerment in Kenya (2021) and Social Capital and Women’s Empowerment in Kenya (2021). Diana has also served in several Boards of Management, the current one being New Covenant Missions in Idaho, USA. She is also the founder of Praying Mums, an international prayer movement of mothers actively praying for their children.
