Identifying Vulnerable Communities

  • William Carey International University 1010 E Union Street Suite 110 Pasadena, CA, 91106 United States (map)

An online training webinar facilitated by WCIU & send international

WCIU and SEND International are coming together for an online training focused on Identifying Vulnerable Communities. During our time together, Dr Viv Grigg, Director of WCIU’s MA in Transformational Urban Leadership will encourage us to follow the example of Jesus, who came to minister to the vulnerable in society sharing with them the good news of his redemptive kingdom. One challenge for church planters and development workers as they step into new contexts is to identify the vulnerable communities to which they will share this good news. Our hope is that this session will impart practical ways you can do just that.

This interactive training will:

  • Engage the challenges teams face in identifying vulnerable communities in contexts that are viable for discipling movements or churches.

  • Explore strategies for identifying vulnerable communities.

  • Indicate church-planting processes from social engagement to community leadership.

Our time will include a mix of lecture, discussion, group processing and shared learning. We are looking forward to seeing you there! This training is free but registration is required.
