How do I log in to Populi?

You should have received an email from Populi with the subject “Welcome to William Carey International University.” This email tells you what your username is and includes a link that allows you to set your password. Once you have set your password, go to wciu.populiweb.com to log in.

 

How do I register for a course?

When you first login you will see your Dashboard. Below this there are “Alerts.” If you are eligible to enroll in classes it will look like this:

Click on Register for classes. Be sure to choose the correct term. If you are wanting to enroll with a January 2012 start date, then you must choose January 2012 Start: 2012-2013. Because Module 4 is a different length than the other courses, it has a separate term (January 2012 Start Mod 4: 2012-2013).

Once you choose the right term you will see the available courses for that term:

To enroll, you must click on the green plus sign under the Enroll column that corresponds to the course you are going to take.

When you click on it, the course will show up under “My Courses.”

If you chose the wrong course, click the red minus sign under Remove. If you have chosen the correct course, click the Save button on the top right.

You are now enrolled! Be sure to pay your tuition and fees before the due date.

 

How do I submit payments through Populi?

Wherever you are in Populi you can click on the “My Profile” tab. Once you are there, click the “Financial” tab. On the right side of the page you will see your balance. Click Make a Payment. If you are paying your own bill, you can fill out the page and submit the payment. If someone else is paying on your behalf, you can email them the link on the right side of the page. Please note that if they do not pay within 30 days the link will expire (the due date for your payment may be more or less than 30 days).

 

Where do I go to change my personal information?

Click on the “My Profile” tab. Then click on the “Info” tab. Here you will see the contact information we have for you. Anything marked with a star is the primary information. Anything marked with a lock is private. Other students cannot see it. If you want to make it public (within the Populi system only), click the lock. It should disappear. When you scroll over your contact information you will be given the option to mark it as old or edit it. You can also add an email address, phone number or mailing address.

How do I get to my current course?

From your “Home” page, choose Current Courses from the drop-down menu under Courses on the right. Then click on the course you are enrolled in.

Once you are on the course page you will see the dashboard for this course. Announcements from the instructor might be posted here. Click on “Info”, here you can see the catalog details about the course, as well as the resource links. For due dates, click on the “Calendar” tab.

Where do I go to see my final grades?

Click on “My Profile” then click on the “Student” tab. Here you can see the courses you’ve taken and all of the grades for finalized courses (courses are not finalized until all work has been submitted, graded, and verified). If you want to download an unofficial transcript, click on the “flower” symbol in the top right corner. Choose the “Export Transcript” option.

How do I request an official transcript?

To request an official transcript, fill out this form and email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address):  http://www.wciu.edu/docs/forms/transcript_req0810.pdf

There is no charge for regular transcript requests. Please allow 10 business days for your request to be processed (excludes mailing time).

Rush: $10. Requires 3 business days to process, excluding mailing time.

If your question concerns navigating the Populi system, you can start by clicking on the orange “Help” button at the very top corner of all Populi pages. This will take you to Populi’s extensive Help section. It includes many videos and articles designed to help you better navigate Populi.
