President’s Message

Welcome to William Carey International University.

WCIU is a global learning community that is committed to discovering and addressing the roots of human problems around the world, with the chief goal of demonstrating the character of God.

We offer graduate degrees in International Development, recognizing that the problems of the least developed nations of the world are not simply technical and economic matters. Human problems cannot be resolved without taking into account social, cultural, religious, and historical factors.

WCIU intends to enroll and partner with scholar-activists who are seeking to identify and defeat evil in its various forms. Leaders who seek to be influential agents of culture change benefit greatly from the knowledge gained and status conferred by the academic degrees WCIU offers. Our learning opportunities radically integrate various academic disciplines and are mentored, affordable, and specifically suited to those who wish to earn a graduate degree while continuing to serve in their agency, church, or school.

Through a variety of publications and discussion forums, we harvest the work of our students, alumni, faculty, and other stakeholders. Thus, globally minded NGOs and like-minded schools from around the world are benefited.
