
Steps to Apply for Credit
for the Insight Program
1. The first step is to be accepted into the Insight Program by an Insight Site Committee. When a student is accepted into the Insight Program by one of their sites, the Acceptance Letter received by the Site Director fulfills WCIU's requirement of being referred by a recognized NGO. Please have a copy of your Acceptance Letter sent to WCIU's Admissions and Records office.
2. Read the catalog description of the Insight Program at http://wciu.edu/insight.html
3. Complete WCIU's Insight Student Personal Information Form.
4. Complete 1 Personal Reference Form - likely your Insight Personal Reference form will meet this requirement. Please ask the Insight Office to forward your Reference.
5. Complete 1 Educational Reference Form - likely your Insight Teacher's Reference form will meet this requirement. Please askt he Insight Office to forward your Reference.
6. Request your transcripts for high school or evidence of high school equivalency, such as GED results. - Please ask the Insight Office to forward your transcripts to WCIU.
7. Request your transcripts from each college, university, or educational institution since high school. - Please ask the Insight Office to forward your transcripts to WCIU.
8. Request your SAT or ACT results if you have not completed at least 15 transferable semester units (23 quarter units) at a regionally accredited college or university, or other institution recognized by WCIU. A score of at least 1100 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT is recommended. If the test results for these exams appear on the high school transcript, no other record is needed. Otherwise, applicants should have the official results sent to them, and then forward the sealed envelope to the Office of Admissions and Records.
In lieu of the SAT or ACT, international applicants will send TOEFL score reports.
****If you are studying on the WCIU campus, you will need to complete a Medical Information Form.
