William Carey International University specializes in an integrated approach to development issues. Created to serve voluntary organizations involved in holistic development, many of which are religious in nature, WCIU emphasizes excellence in academic studies from a global perspective.

Cross-cultural experience overseas and among national minority peoples is encouraged. Field-based studies allow you to take advantage of service and learning opportunities around the world, without being tied to a residential campus. WCIU employs both traditional and new educational methods, focusing on cutting-edge development strategies. WCIU admits students who seek to serve while learning, who want to apply their studies to today’s changing world, who are self-reliant and flexible, and who are willing to explore new approaches to cross cultural service through innovative study programs.
